Ham & High Podcast and Newspaper Article on Andrew Gold

I was fortunate enough to have been invited onto the pre-eminent Ham and High Podcast, which is run and hosted by my old friend André Langlois. We studied our NCTJ journalism qualification together about eight years ago, and it's great to see he's doing well at the Ham & High, which is a popular regional paper covering Hampstead, Highgate and other parts of North London. It's near where I grew up, and I lived on Muswell Hill Road, just by Highgate Station, for a few years before leaving to film that exorcist in Argentina. Listen here:

We mostly discussed my BBC exorcism film (watch it here), Read about the exorcism film and how it came to be here in my blog. But we also chatted about journalism in general, as well as things like cognitive bias, trying to understand both sides of a story and all of those types of things. I also touched on paedophilia, by trying (perhaps clumsily) to use it to show how even the most awful of criminals can use cognitive bias to feel like they're on the righteous side of things.

They also wrote an article about me, which is flattering and lovely, and here's what it looks like:

Do check it out, and have a look through their other episodes, and consider subscribing, to help support local news journalism. Since I've got you here, make sure to tune into my own podcast. Hear me chat to the female Mormon psychopath about whether she'd care if I died, listen to the (surprisingly funny) Coffin Confessor talk about how he reveals the secrets of the dead at funerals and see me test the woman with the perfect memory with lines I throw at her from Harry Potter.
